1. One drinking water fountain unit was received by the Faculty of Psychology; similar units have been distributed to every faculty at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University
Single-use plastic waste that is not managed properly can end up in rivers and eventually pollute the ocean, posing a threat to aquatic life. As part of the commitment of the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University to establish a "Green Campus," the Faculty of Psychology has implemented an action plan to reduce plastic waste within the campus environment. The primary objective is to decrease the use of single-use plastic bottles among students, faculty, and administrative staff, thereby curbing a source of plastic waste that could otherwise reach waterways while simultaneously fostering a culture of environmental awareness.
2. Zero Waste Program Campaign Banner
A Zero Waste Program campaign banner displayed on campus to promote waste reduction and encourage the academic community to adopt environmentally responsible practices, including reducing single-use plastic consumption.
The Faculty of Medicine, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, supports campus waste reduction efforts through the promotion of zero-waste practices and the provision of waste segregation facilities. These initiatives aim to raise environmental awareness among the academic community, encourage responsible waste disposal, and promote the reduction of plastic waste on campus. The program supports a cleaner campus environment and contributes to more sustainable waste management practices.
3. Organizing SDGs and Green Campus Seminars
Green Campus is one of the priority programs being promoted by Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta to create a healthy and environmentally friendly campus environment. In support of this vision, The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) held a seminar titled "The Role of Academics in Realizing the SDGs" in support of the Green Campus initiative. The primary objective of this activity was to increase the understanding and active role of the academic community in realizing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The event was attended by 200 participants, including faculty and students
