UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta
State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta managed to record a world achievement by ranking 101-140 internationally in the QS World University Ranking (QS WUR) 2024 for the Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies cluster. UIN Jakarta occupies the 122nd position and is also the only State Islamic Religious University (PTKIN) included in the ranking. This is based on the release of QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024: Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies. This result shows the acquisition of rank 101-140 in the Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies cluster based on four assessment indicators, namely: academic reputation (52.9), citations per paper (89.3), employer reputation (48), and H-index citations (74.7). This ranking achievement brings UIN Jakarta on par with many world-class universities from various regions. For example, University of Freiburg Germany, Cornell University, Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main, Seoul National University, and Universität Leipzig.
UIN Jakarta has again recorded achievements as a university with global recognition after achieving level 3 Star from QS Stars Rated for Excellence. The acquisition of this recognition is expected to continue to spur an increase in UIN Jakarta's contribution in producing quality graduates. Level 3 Star is obtained from a series of assessments on a number of important aspects. Among others, Teaching 4, Employability 4, Internationalization 2, Facilities 3, Social Responsibility 3, Inclusiveness 5, and Program Strength: Islamic Studies 2. QS Stars is an assessment conducted by the QS Stars Rating agency to measure the excellence of a university. In addition to the strength of the study program, the assessment is carried out by looking at the availability of facilities, employment of graduates, social responsibility, inclusiveness, and several other categories. UIN Jakarta is the first PTKI to achieve this achievement. The acquisition of level 3 Stars aligns UIN Jakarta with other national universities such as Andalas University, Binus University, Telkom University, Udayana University, UII, UPI, USU, and Brawijaya University.
In research publications, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has many internationally accredited journals. Four of them have been indexed by Scopus, namely, Ahkam: Journal of Sharia Science (Q1) with Subject Area Law and Religious Studies, Studia Islamika (Q2) with Subject Religious Studies, Indonesian Journal of Psychology and Educational Measurement (Q4) with Subject Area Applied Psychology and Developmental and Educational Psychology, and Valensi Chemistry Journal with Subject Area Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. In addition, there are various journals published by UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta which are indexed by WoS, Dimensions, DOAJ, and various international indexers. State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta became the first state Islamic religious university certified by ASEAN University Network-Quallity Assurance (AUN-QA). AUN-QA certification has only been achieved by the University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Bogor Agricultural University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Airlangga University, Brawijaya University and following UIN Jakarta as the only state Islamic university. He explained as many as 4 study programs (Prodi) at UIN Jakarta that received AUN-QA certification are Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Islamic Culture History Study Program, Islamic Religious Education Study Program, and Islamic Dirosat Study Program. Furthermore, the AUN-QA concluded that UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has the potential to become a world-class Islamic university.
UIN Jakarta achieve the 2021 most sustainably improved university status in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2021. This status was obtained because UIN Jakarta made a lot of changes compared to the previous year's ranking. UIN Jakarta recorded a total score of 6225. This score was obtained from six UI GreenMetric assessment indicators. UIN Jakarta recorded a score of 1150 on the Setting & Infrastructure indicator, a score of 1000 on Energy & Climate Change, and a score of 1050 on Waste. Furthermore, a score of 650 on Water, a score of 1150 on Transportation, and a score of 1225 on Education & Research. This year, the UI GreenMetric World Ranking was attended by 956 universities from 80 countries in the world. In this ranking, 154 world universities are in the Gold Cluster category, 435 universities are in the Silver Cluster category, and 367 universities are in the Bronze Cluster category.
