Zakat accounting system of UIN Jakarta wins Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs award
Jakarta, UIN News Online – The Zakat Accounting System at UIN Jakarta won an award from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) at the Appreciation Night for the 2021 Zakat and Waqf Literacy Festival, Thursday (12/02/2021). The award is given as an appreciation for the innovation provided in terms of zakat and waqf management in the country.
The award was delivered directly by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs (Wamenag) Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi to the Vice Rector for Administration of UIN Jakarta Ahmad Rodoni.
“This award is a form of our gratitude to individuals and institutions that have contributed in increasing zakat and waqf literacy in Indonesia,” said Zainut.
Representing the leadership and academic community of UIN Jakarta, Ahmad Rodoni expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Religious Affairs for the appreciation. He also hopes that this appreciation can further motivate the UIN Jakarta Zakat Accounting System team to improve its innovation.
Separately, the coordinator of the Zakat Accounting System innovator team, Rini, also expressed her gratitude for the appreciation given by the MORA. She also expressed her appreciation to the leadership and academic community of UIN Jakarta for the support.
For information, in addition to UIN Jakarta, the MORA also gave awards to various individuals and institutions in several categories.
In the category of Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) Pendamping KUA Percontohan Ekonomi Umat, successfully achieved by LAZ IZI, LAZ Rumah Zakat, and LAZ Al-Azhar.
In the Kampung Zakat category category was successfully achieved by the West Kalimantan Ministry of Religion Regional Office, Sambas Regency Baznas, and LAZ Baitul Maal Muamalat (BMM). Meanwhile in the LAZ Patuh Syariat category, the appreciation goes to LAZ Al-Azhar.
Furthermore, in the category of Wakaf Pendamping Inkubasi Wakaf Produktif, eight institutions were selected. They are Rumah Wakaf, Dompet Dhuafa, Wakaf Al-Azhar, Daarut Tauhid, Sinergi Foundation, PPPA Daarul Qur’an, Wakaf Hidayatullah, and Cinta Wakaf.
In the province category with the largest collection of cash waqf by ASN of the MORA, three Regional Offices of the Ministry of Religion were selected with the highest number of cash waqf. The three, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Central Java Rp. 769,439,237, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of West Java Rp. 515,352,000, and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of West Kalimantan Rp. 245,457,000.
Finally, the category of Agent of Change in Sharia Economics was won by Sumadianto as the initiator of the "Urip Iku Urup" program for Zakat Innovation in the Transitional Area in Yogyakarta, Muhammad Taufiq as the initiator of the Shanti: Share Konten Toleransi di Denpasar Bali, and Salmiah as the initiator of the Zakat Awareness Village.
