Workshop on Strategic Plan Development at UIN Jakarta: Achieving a More Strategic Vision and Mission

Ciawi Bogor, UIN News Online – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully conducted a workshop on the development of the Strategic Plan (Renstra) from June 13-15, 2024, at Horison Ultima Bhuvana Ciawi Bogor. This event was attended by university leaders, lecturers, and administrative staff from various faculties of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

The three-day workshop aimed to formulate a more comprehensive Strategic Plan that aligns with current developments both nationally and internationally. With the theme "Achieving a More Strategic Vision and Mission," this event aimed to produce a Strategic Plan that supports the improvement of education quality, research, and community service.

In his opening remarks, the Acting Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi, M.A., emphasized the importance of the Strategic Plan as a guide in achieving the university's vision and mission. "A good Strategic Plan will guide us all in carrying out our duties and responsibilities to advance this university," he said.

During the workshop, participants engaged in various discussion and presentation sessions facilitated by experts in strategic management and higher education. They evaluated the achievements of the previous Strategic Plan, identified challenges and opportunities, and formulated concrete action plans for the next five years.

Prof. Kusmana, S.Ag., M.A., Ph.D., the Acting Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, emphasized the importance of collaboration and active participation of the entire academic community in the development of the Strategic Plan. "This Strategic Plan is not just for the university leadership but belongs to all of us. Every input and idea is valuable in creating an inclusive and sustainable Strategic Plan," he said.

The event concluded with the signing of a joint commitment by all workshop participants. This signing symbolizes the determination and enthusiasm to realize the vision of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as an outstanding Islamic university on the global stage.

With the new Strategic Plan in place, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is expected to continue enhancing its quality and relevance as a competitive and dedicated Islamic higher education institution in building a better civilization.
