West Java Provincial Government Officially Grants Land to UIN Jakarta
Bandung, UIN News Online – Provincial Government of West Java finally completed the 10,035m2 land granting process to UIN Jakarta. The land, located at Jalan Kertamukti Number 03, Cirendeu, East Ciputat, South Tangerang, which is occupied by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) is now legally belongs to the Ministry of Religious Affairs cq UIN Jakarta.
The finalization of the land granting process itself is done by signing the handover certificate between the Governor of West Java Dr. Ahmad Heryawan LC., M.Si and Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA in in Pakuan Building, Bandung, Thursday (03/08/2018). Also present in the event, West Java Provincial Secretary Dr. Iwa Karniwa M.M., Vice Rector for Cooperation Affairs Prof. Dr. Murodi MA, AUK Bureau Chief Dr Rudi Subiyantoro M.Pd, and General Affairs Division Head Drs. Encep Dimyati MA.
In his speech, Ahmad Heryawan said that the land granting decision to UIN Jakarta is an initiative from West Java residents for the sake of scientific development. “Hopefully, this could be beneficial for UIN Jakarta’s academic community,” said Ahmad.
Based on this decision, Ahmad continued, West Java has fully handed over its land to be owned and used by UIN Jakarta. In the previous agreement, the land use mechanism was carried out through Build Operate Transfer (BOT) for a duration of 30 years. "But with this decision, the land has been fully granted to UIN Jakarta," he said.
In response, Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA expressed his gratitude to Provincial Government of West Java and its residents, “Representing the UIN Jakarta’s academic community, we would like to thank the Provincial government as well as West Java residents. Insya Allah, this land will be useful in developing the young generation education level, including students from West Java itself,” said Rector. (usa)
