Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Head of AAKK Conduct Janitorial Inspection of the UKM Secretariat
PKM Building, UIN Online News - On Monday (17/3/2025), the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and the Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation (AAKK) conducted a sudden inspection to assess the cleanliness and organization of the rooms and areas within the Student Activity Unit (UKM) secretariat located in the Student Activity Center (PKM) building at UIN Jakarta.
During their unannounced presence, they immediately assessed the cleanliness and organization of the building area and the UKM secretariat offices. The examination of cleanliness and tidiness was performed subsequent to their efforts to socialize the significance of cleanliness and orderliness in the UKM secretariat rooms and their environs.
During the two-hour inspection, the Vice Rector and the Head of Bureau meticulously examined the Student Activity Center (PKM), the focal point of student activities. They collaboratively performed firsthand inspections of the building's courtyard and the UKM secretariat offices. However, they found a secretariat room, obscured by curtains or cluttered with unneeded things, further attracted the attention of the Vice Rector and the Head of Bureau.
Ali Munhanif urged the students who were successfully met to maintain cleanliness and order in the UKM room and in locations central to student activity. He also urged the students and the academic community to collaboratively uphold cleanliness and orderliness.
"We share equal responsibility for neatness and cleanliness. Let us uphold the cleanliness and orderliness of both the secretariat area and its vicinity," the Vice Rector of UIN Jakarta urged.
Several regulations in UIN Jakarta must be followed to ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the space, including a ban on indoor cooking, a requirement to avoid keeping useless products, and a restriction on randomly attaching objects to the walls.
"We desire this environment to be a comfortable workplace, orderly, and consistently maintained. Such conditions will ensure that the attending guests feel at ease, allowing the students' colleague to participate in activities comfortably," they added.
This inspection is an integral part of UIN Jakarta's efforts to provide a clean, organized, and pleasant campus environment for the whole academic community. It is anticipated that students' awareness of preserving cleanliness and orderliness would persistently improve, hence fostering a conducive and professional learning environment.
