UM-PTKIN Path, UIN Jakarta Allocates 3,034 Seats for New Students
Jakarta, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has officially allocated 3,034 seats for prospective students through the 2026 State Islamic Higher Education Entrance Examination (UM-PTKIN) pathway. The quota marks a significant increase compared to the 1,388 seats previously offered through the National Academic Achievement Selection (SPAN-PTKIN) pathway.
According to the national admission schedule, UM-PTKIN registration is open from Monday, 13 April to Saturday, 30 May 2026. Prospective applicants may register online through the official UM-PTKIN website.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, M.A., M.H., stated that the increased quota reflects the university's commitment to expanding access to higher education.
“We are providing greater opportunities for applicants through the UM-PTKIN pathway, particularly for those who were not admitted through the SPAN-PTKIN selection announced earlier,” said Prof. Tholabi.
The 3,034 available seats are distributed across 30 Islamic studies undergraduate programs. Among them, the five programs with the largest admission quotas are Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (160 seats), Islamic Education (159 seats), Islamic Economics (150 seats), Islamic Banking (143 seats), and Educational Management (129 seats). Complete information on the admission capacity of each study program is available through the designated information button on the university's admission portal.
UM-PTKIN is a national admission pathway conducted through the Electronic Selection System (SSE). The selection is open to graduates of MA/MAK/SMA/SMK/SPM/PDF/PKPPS or equivalent institutions from the 2024, 2025, and 2026 graduating cohorts. Applicants may select up to three study programs and are required to pay a registration fee of IDR 200,000.
The examination consists of the Scholastic Aptitude Test, which assesses verbal, quantitative, and spatial reasoning, as well as a Literacy Test covering Indonesian, English, Arabic, numerical reasoning, Islamic studies, and Qur'anic reading and writing proficiency.
The UM-PTKIN registration process begins with account registration through the official website. Applicants who have not previously created a SPAN-PTKIN account must register as new users, while existing SPAN-PTKIN account holders may log in using their current credentials. After logging in, applicants complete their personal information to obtain a Virtual Account (VA) number and payment details. The registration fee can be paid through Bank Mandiri (via teller, ATM, or Livin' by Mandiri) or by interbank transfer using the provided VA number. Once the payment has been verified, applicants log in again to select their preferred study programs and examination venue before printing the examination card. Participants must then attend the examination according to the schedule and venue specified on their admission card.
