UM-PTKIN 2026 Registration Officially Opens; UIN Jakarta Urges Applicants to Understand Admission Procedures and Test Materials
Jakarta, UIN Online News — Registration for the 2026 State Islamic Higher Education Entrance Examination (UM-PTKIN) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially opens from 13 April 2026 at 8:00 a.m. (WIB) until 30 May 2026 at 3:00 p.m. (WIB) through the official UM-PTKIN portal. The opening of this national admission pathway provides prospective students with another opportunity to enroll at UIN Jakarta through a standardized entrance examination.
Applicants are eligible to register if they graduated from Madrasah Aliyah (MA/MAK), Senior High Schools (SMA), Vocational High Schools (SMK), Muadalah Education Units (SPM), Formal Diniyah Education (PDF), Islamic Boarding School Equivalency Programs (PKPPS), or equivalent institutions in 2024, 2025, or 2026. Graduates from 2024 and 2025 are required to possess either a diploma or a certificate of graduation, while 2026 graduates must provide one of the following: a graduation certificate, graduation announcement, national identity card, or student identification card.
To complete the registration process, applicants must prepare several required documents, including a National Student Identification Number (NISN), an active email address, and an active WhatsApp number. Registration must be completed independently through the official UM-PTKIN website.
The 2026 UM-PTKIN admission schedule begins with registration and payment, both running from 13 April to 30 May 2026. Applicants must complete the finalization process no later than 3 June 2026, while examination cards will be available for download starting 1 May 2026. The entrance examination is scheduled to take place from 8–14 June 2026, with the final results to be announced on 30 June 2026.
Applicants are required to pay a registration fee of IDR 200,000 through one of the banks appointed by the National Admission Committee. The payment is non-refundable under any circumstances. During registration, candidates may select up to three study programs offered by participating State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) or State Universities (PTN), as well as choose their preferred examination center. Through this admission pathway, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta offers 30 undergraduate study programs.
Registration is considered complete only after applicants finalize their application through the online system within the designated period. Since UM-PTKIN emphasizes the assessment of academic potential and fundamental competencies rather than memorization alone, UIN Jakarta encourages prospective students to familiarize themselves with the examination format and content.
The examination includes an Academic Reasoning Test, designed to measure applicants' potential for success in undergraduate education. This assessment consists of four major components: Verbal Reasoning, which evaluates written language comprehension and the ability to analyze words, sentences, and texts according to linguistic structures; Figural Reasoning, which measures the ability to interpret visual patterns and abstract symbols while assessing creative thinking; Quantitative Reasoning, which examines numerical reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills using mathematical concepts; and Mathematical Reasoning, which evaluates the ability to apply mathematical principles, procedures, and facts to solve real-life problems through analytical thinking.
In addition to academic reasoning, applicants will complete a Literacy Assessment. The Reading Literacy section measures the ability to understand, interpret, evaluate, and reflect upon texts in Indonesian, English, and Arabic across socio-humanities and scientific contexts, enabling students to develop critical thinking and contribute productively as responsible global citizens.
The examination also includes Islamic Studies Literacy, which assesses applicants' understanding and analytical ability in the areas of the Qur'an, Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), and Islamic Cultural History within personal, social, global, and religious moderation contexts. This component aims to cultivate sound moral character, strengthen religious values, and encourage the practical application of Islamic teachings in both personal life and society.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to review all admission requirements, examination procedures, and important deadlines carefully before completing their registration. Further information regarding the 2026 UM-PTKIN Admission Pathway is available through the official UM-PTKIN website.
