UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Welcomed the Visit of Youth Ekselensia Scholarship (YES)

Diorama Room, UIN News Online - Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta warmly welcomed the visit of 36 students from various high schools, vocational schools, and Islamic high schools recipients of Youth Ekselensia Scholarship (YES) on Friday (17/01/2025). The visit was conducted by the participants of YES as part of a series of Young Leadership Festival (YLF25) activities that they took part in.

The visit which aims to provide motivation and inspiration to orphan, abandoned, marginalized students selected from nine regions across Indonesia. They were received directly by the LP2M Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) Team, as well as the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Cooperation Team.

In his speech, the Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UIN Jakarta, Zaenal Muttaqin, M.Ag., appreciated the visit of these excellent students. According to him, the visit is an important opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge about higher education, especially when they visit the largest Islamic university in Indonesia. “It is our pleasure to welcome the participants from YES. This kind of activity can provide them a real insight about campus life and the world of higher education, of course this will encourage them to achieve their goals,” he said.

The participants were welcomed with enthusiasm and they were given various materials which aim to improve their competence, especially in contributing positively to the community. The YES participants were also invited to tour the campus using an electric bus (BILIS). It was meant to give them a good experience about the facilities on the UIN Jakarta campus and show them an eco-friendly campus life.

One of the YES participants, Rohana, expressed her happiness after visiting UIN Jakarta. “Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to be able to visit my dream university. There are so many lessons that I have learned. Insha'Allah, I will be more motivated to study here,” she said.

This visit is expected to strengthen the relationship between YES and UIN Jakarta, as well as motivate students to continue their education in the best Islamic universities and collaborate in education-related programs.

YES Program Chair, Yulianti said that this activity is part of their efforts to provide insight and inspiration for the participants. “YES is committed to produce students who posses great intellectuality, noble personality, and leader mentality. We hope this activity can provide new insights that boost their enthusiasm in achieving their dreams,” she said.

With the synergy between UIN Jakarta and programs like YES, it is expected to minimize the education gap in Indonesia. Together, we will provide greater opportunities for students from various backgrounds to achieve top quality at higher education.

Through this program, scholarship recipients are expected to achieve their dreams and create their own glorious future.
