UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Holds Campus Socialization at the 'UIN Jakarta Expose 2024' Event

Auditorium Harun Nasution, Berita UIN Online - The State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a campus outreach event aimed at introducing UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to high school students in the Jabodetabek area. This socialization event, which is part of the "UIN Jakarta Expose 2024" series of activities, took place at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, on Tuesday (06/02/2024).

This event was attended by hundreds of students and supervising teachers from several schools, State Madrasah Aliyah (MAN), Madrasah Aliyah (MA), Senior High Schools (SMA), Vocational High Schools (SMK), and Islamic Boarding Schools, around Jakarta, Tangerang, Depok, Bogor and Bekasi. The aim is to provide a comprehensive overview of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to prospective students.

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D. stated that, as a higher education institution, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is committed to providing quality Islamic education, he emphasized that UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta continues to strive to provide wider and more equitable access to embrace the young generation with potential.

"UIN Jakarta Expose 2024 will be a forum for all of us to share information, knowledge and intellectual insight regarding the selection path for prospective students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta," he said.

The main event of this activity was a presentation by resource persons regarding the profile of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, various information on entry routes, student activities and scholarship information. Moderated by the Head of Academic Affairs, Rahmawati, S.Psi., M.M. There were four resource persons present, namely the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, Secretary of the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB), Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto, S.Si., M.Kom., central committee for New Student Admissions for State Islamic Religious Universities (PMB-PTKIN), Haris Setiaji, MTI., and Head of the Academic Administration, Student Affairs and Cooperation Bureau (AAKK), Priono, M.Pd.

Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi explained in general about the profile of universities, faculties and study programs at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Then continued the presentation by Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto, S.Si., M.Kom., who discussed the registration process via SNBP and SNBT. Apart from that, information regarding SPAN-PTKIN and UM-PTKIN was presented by Haris Setiaji, MTI., and Priono, M.Pd., discussing SPMB Mandiri.

Students are provided with comprehensive information about new student admission information at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as well as the various opportunities available to them inside and outside the classroom.

Apart from that, a question and answer session was also held to provide an opportunity for the students and their supervisors who were present to interact directly with faculty and university representatives. This aims to answer further questions and facilitate constructive dialogue with campus management.

The response from students was very positive, with many of them feeling helped in understanding the new student admissions process and finding interest and enthusiasm in enrolling at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

UIN Jakarta Expose 2024, is not only an information event, but also an important momentum to strengthen synergy between higher education institutions and lower education institutions.

Ana, a teacher from SMA Negeri 2 Cibinong, said that this socialization was very helpful in increasing the enthusiasm of students who wanted to get information about entry routes to UIN Jakarta.
