UIN Jakarta’s International Summer Class 2025 Showcases Pathways to Digital Entrepreneurship
Ciputat, UIN Online News — The 2nd International Summer Class, held under the theme “Building the Future of Digital Entrepreneurship,” officially concluded on Friday (14/11/2025) at the Miring Theater of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Jakarta, closing a series of academic activities involving participants from multiple countries and universities across Indonesia.
Representing the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Vice-Rector Prof. Ali explained the main vision of the program as an academic platform and a long-term investment for the participants.
“What matters most from this program,” he noted, “is how participants transform their experiences here into stepping stones, whether as future policymakers in their respective countries, leaders in economics and development, or young individuals who bring the values of cultural diversity, interfaith harmony, and the spirit of digital entrepreneurship into their communities.”
Dean of FEB, Prof. Ibnu Qizam, extended his appreciation to all partners whose support contributed to the program’s success.
“Through the support provided by various institutions and co-hosts, this program strengthens academic networks and fosters a more inclusive international learning ecosystem,” he stated.
One of the participants from Afghanistan, Rahim Mubaray, shared his main impressions of the program: distinctive learning experience by bringing entrepreneurs directly to the classroom.
“We learned a lot, and I’m really glad to be here,” he said. “We heard firsthand from real businessmen, how they shared their success stories and the policies they put in place to run their businesses. Thank you so much, and we hope the university will open another summer class next year so more international students can join and gain practical knowledge about business.”
Next, Murdiyah Hayati, the Chair of the 2nd International Summer Class Committee, outlined the strategic objectives that guided the design of this year's program.
“Through the theme Building the Future of Digital Entrepreneurship, we aim to strengthen collaboration among higher education institutions both PTKIN and PTN, domestically and internationally. Such networks are expected to enhance the quality of universities and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. We also intend to equip students with skills relevant to the digital era, particularly in business and entrepreneurship,” she said.
