UIN Jakarta’s Information and Public Relations Center Participates in PTKIN Public Relations Capacity Building in Gorontalo
IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, UIN News Online - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta's Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) participated in the PTKIN Public Relations Capacity Building activities throughout Indonesia which took place on Friday to Sunday, (4-6/10/2024) at the Auditorium of the Rectorate Building, 4th floor, Campus 1 of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Sultan Amai Gorontalo. The event with the theme “Building Public Speaking Skills and Professional Social Media Management” is a collaboration between IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo and the Directorate General of Islamic Education (Ditjen Pendis) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenag RI).
Present at the event, PIH Information Media Coordinator, Fauziah Muslimah, M.I.Kom as a representative of UIN Jakarta's public relations. Fauziah appreciated this activity as a forum for PTKIN public relations forums throughout Indonesia to be able to synergize with each other in various roles and functions of public relations under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
“This forum provides insight into the use of technology in public relations tasks, especially the role of PTKIN throughout Indonesia for services and publication of information to the public. Then, sharing from the Head of the AUAK Bureau of IAIN Gorontalo about virtual assistant technology can be a reference for the public relations team to disseminate accurate and targeted information, and strengthen the positive image of the Institution,” explained the lecturer at UIN Jakarta's Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM).
Meanwhile, this event was attended by 70 participants from PTKIN public relations throughout Indonesia and opened in a hybrid manner. The opening remarks were delivered virtually by the Rector of IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, Prof. Dr. H. Zulkarnain Suleman, M.HI, and attended as a virtual speaker, the Head of the Public Relations, Data and Information (HDI) Bureau of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, Akhmad Fauzin, S.Ag., M.Si.
For three days, Capacity Building participants received intensive training on modern public relations strategies, the use of digital technology, and effective ways to manage communication and information. Some important materials in this series of activities are; Innovation Strategy of VADR (Virtual Assistant Dwingent Recht) IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, Compilation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Public Relations, Public Speaking and Social Media Content Management for Government.
This Capacity Building activity of PTKIN Public Relations throughout Indonesia is expected to have a positive impact in improving the professionalism and ability of public relations in all PTKIN, including UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in providing public information services that are more efficient, innovative, and creative, as well as relevant to social media content in the digital era.
