It is meant to create effective, creative, and credible Institutional social media management as part of its joint strategies by inviting numerous work units on Thursday (August 14, 2025).

In her introduction, the Head of LP2M, Prof. Amelia Fauzia, stated that today's internet algorithm is heavily influenced by information spread, one of the most popular of which is social media.

"This event is designed specifically because we recognize how important social media is as a crucial information channel for the university. However, precisely because of its significant role, we also need to use it wisely. Not everything can be shared immediately; there needs to be a process of filtering information so that the message conveyed remains accurate and credible. For this training to become so important, as preparation in managing social media more effectively and responsibly," she explained.

In line with this, Zaenal Muttaqin, Head of the Information and Public Relations Center of UIN Jakarta, stated in his speech that social media collaboration between faculties and units has begun to develop.

"God praise, collaboration between us (UN Jakarta's faculties and work units) has begun to reach its maturity. In the past year, our social media have suddenly emerged from various units and faculties, and they have thousands of followers," he remarked.

Meanwhile, the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, in his speech emphasized that social media is not just about conveying daily lives; it transcends into a publication vessel of key information around the globe.

"The social media you want to convey to the public is meant to educate people. It would be a waste for conveying random and uneducational information," he asserted.

Azka Septia Rahma, a speaker and Social Media Strategist, also provided an explanation of "Building Information Strategies Through Media." According to him, the success indicators for social media management depend on the social media officers.

"When the goals are fully achieved or all the metrics are met, it is a bullseye. While 80% to 90% of all the metrics have been achieved in the form of conversion and brand awareness, then it still counts as a hit," he assured.

In the next session, Della Novia Ramadhan, as a Graphic Designer & Creative, emphasized the importance of social media branding for an institution. "

"Social media is the tip of the spear—it reflects an institution's identity. Consistent and professional content shapes positive public perception, and strong social media branding builds trust and credibility in the eyes of prospective students, their parents, and the general public," she stated.

As for the participants, they are social media managers within the UIN Jakarta environment at the faculty, center, institute, and other unit levels, as well as students in the internship program at PIH.

Finally, the event concluded with a discussion and experience-sharing session, as well as the improvements to the protocols for content creation at UIN Jakarta. Along with the presentation of certificates to students who had completed the batch 6 internship program and the Talenta Community Service at PIH.

It is hoped that this event will provide new skills and inspiration for participants in addressing various issues and managing social media more effectively.
