UIN Jakarta's 132nd Graduation Ceremony: 1331 Students Graduated, Three Best Thesis Selected

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta successfully graduated 1331 new graduates in the 132nd open senate session of the 2023/2024 academic year at the Harun Nasution Auditorium Building, Saturday-Aday (8-9/6/2024). 

In the 132nd open senate session, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., as Vice Rector for Student Affairs, read out the Rector's Decree Number 722 of 2024 concerning the best graduation participants and the best thesis in undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. 

In addition to announcing the best graduates based on GPA at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels. Prof. Ali also read out the three (3) best undergraduate theses. The announcement of the best thesis was announced on the first day as much as one (1) graduate and two (2) other best theses were announced on the second day of graduation.

On the first day of graduation, Afifah Agustina was chosen as the graduate with the best thesis in the science and technology category. Afifah Agustina from the Physics Tadris Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Keguruan Sciences, achieved a GPA of 3.47 with a 'Very Satisfactory' judiciary. Her thesis was entitled “Development of HOTS-Based Virtual Laboratory with Excel VBA: Improving Understanding of Temperature and Heat Concepts".

Another best thesis was achieved by Afda Nurkhoviya Sahid in the category of humanities or Islamic studies. Afda Nurkhoviya Sahid from Dirasat Islamiyah Study Program earned a GPA of 3.88 with a 'Cum Laude' graduation. Her thesis was entitled “Zhahirah Tabattul Al-nisa'Fi Nazhar Maqashid Al-Syari'ah Wa

Al-Harakah Al-niswiyyah (Dirasat Tahliliyah Muqaranah)". 

Furthermore, the best thesis was achieved by Lilis Ratnasari in the social science category. Lilis Ratnasari from the Political Science Study Program of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences achieved a GPA of 3.98 with a 'Cum Laude' graduation. Her thesis was titled “Money and Votes: A Study of the Effect of Campaign Funds on the Vote Acquisition of Legislative Candidates in the 2019 West Java DPR-RI General Election".

Lilis Ratnasari delivered remarks representing the best graduates, expressing her gratitude to UIN Jakarta educators. Lilis also advised her fellow graduates to not only be a successful person for themselves but to be able to make a positive contribution to society, the nation, and even the world. “Believe we are great people,” she said.
