UIN Jakarta will inaugurate two professors on January 13th

Rectorate, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta will inaugurate two professors on Wednesday,  January 13th 2021. They are Achmad Syahid and Bambang Suryadi. The inauguration ceremony will be held virtually by following strict health protocols.

The inauguration ceremony will be led directly by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis accompanied by the Chairperson of the UIN Jakarta Senate Professor Abuddin Nata.

According to the plan, the inauguration ceremony will also be attended by a number of officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, such as Director General of Islamic Education Ali Ramdhani, Director General of Christian Community Guidance Thomas Pentury, Director of Diktis  Suyitno, Politician and Chairperson of DPR-RI for the period of 1999-2004 Akbar Tanjung, Indonesian Industry Minister for the period of 2005-2009 Fahmi Idris, and Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI Ace Hasan Syadzily.

Based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 69107 of 2020, Professor Achmad Syahid was appointed as Professor in the field of Islamic Thought, While Bambang was appointed as a professor based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 69109 of 2020 in the field of Educational Psychology and Counseling.

Since last August 2020, Bambang, who completed his master and doctoral education in the field of Educational Psychology and Counseling at the University of Malaya, has been appointed as the Education and Cultural Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo, Egypt. Previously, he also served as the Head of the National Education Standards Agency for the Ministry of Education and Culture (2017-2019). (usa/zm)
