UIN Jakarta Welcomes Students from SMAN 1 Bandung, Serang, to Introduce Undergraduate Programs and Admissions Pathways

Auditorium Harun Nasution, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomed a delegation from SMAN 1 Bandung, Serang Regency, Banten, on Thursday (2 April 2026) as part of its outreach efforts to introduce prospective students to the university's academic programs and undergraduate admissions process. Held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, the visit brought together 306 eleventh-grade students accompanied by their teachers, providing them with firsthand information about study programs, campus facilities, and university admissions.

The event was attended by representatives from the Center for Information and Public Relations (PIH) of UIN Jakarta, including Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., Head of PIH, along with Taufan Maulana Firdaus, S.Pd., Ahmad Fadlan Ramadlan, S.Kom., and Dian Nurbani Adestiani, who guided the students throughout the program.

In his welcoming remarks, Head of PIH Zaenal Muttaqin expressed his appreciation for the visit and emphasized UIN Jakarta's commitment to providing access to quality higher education for outstanding students from across Indonesia. He explained that UIN Jakarta has evolved into a comprehensive university that integrates Islamic values with modern scientific disciplines.

"UIN Jakarta is not merely an Islamic university. We offer 56 undergraduate programs across a wide range of disciplines, from Islamic studies and social sciences to science, technology, and medicine. Your visit today is an important first step in preparing for next year's university admissions," he said.

Representing SMAN 1 Bandung, Ahmad Ghozali, M.S.I., Vice Principal for Public Relations, stated that the visit was designed to ensure students receive reliable and accurate information directly from the university.

"We traveled from Serang Regency so our students could gain firsthand information. While there is plenty of information available on social media, visiting the campus and interacting directly with UIN Jakarta's Public Relations team gives our students greater confidence and motivation to pursue admission through pathways such as SNBP and SNBT," he explained.

During the information session, Taufan Maulana Firdaus introduced students to UIN Jakarta's 12 faculties and one graduate school, highlighting that approximately 80 percent of the university's study programs have earned either "Excellent" (Unggul) or Grade A accreditation. The presentation also showcased the university's modern learning facilities, including its digital library, affordable Single Tuition Fee (UKT) scheme, scholarship opportunities, and sustainability initiatives such as the campus electric shuttle bus (Bilis). Students were also introduced to the university's five principal admissions pathways: SNBP, SNBT, SPAN-PTKIN, UM-PTKIN, and the Independent Admission route.

The visit inspired many participants to consider pursuing their higher education at UIN Jakarta. Auful Mustaniah, one of the participating students, shared that the program broadened her understanding of university life.

"Today's visit was very enjoyable and gave me valuable insight into higher education. UIN Jakarta offers the opportunity to study both modern sciences and Islamic studies while providing excellent facilities, including a modern library and a comfortable learning environment," she said.

Another student, Nathalia Larasati, expressed particular interest in the university's Faculty of Law.

"This visit has been very meaningful because I learned many things I didn't know before. I now have a much clearer understanding of the Faculty of Law, which is the faculty I'm interested in, and God willing, I plan to apply to UIN Jakarta," she remarked.
