UIN Jakarta Welcomes Students from Madrasah Aliyah Sayang Ibu Lombok, Showcases Its Diverse Faculties and Flagship Study Programs
Jakarta, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomed a group of students from Madrasah Aliyah Sayang Ibu Lombok, located in Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, on Monday (13 April 2026). Held at the Diorama Room, the visit brought together 18 eleventh-grade students and their accompanying teachers to learn more about the university's academic programs and undergraduate admission process.
The event was hosted by representatives from the Center for Information and Public Relations (PIH) of UIN Jakarta, including Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., Head of PIH, Taufan Maulana Firdaus, S.Pd., and Yuyun Yuliana, who accompanied the participants throughout the program.
In his welcoming remarks, Zaenal Muttaqin emphasized that UIN Jakarta has evolved into a comprehensive university offering programs not only in Islamic studies but also in science, technology, and medicine. He noted that approximately 70 percent of the university's study programs have achieved the highest national accreditation ("Excellent"), with many also receiving recognition from international accreditation agencies.
“UIN Jakarta is more than an Islamic university. We have 13 faculties covering a broad range of disciplines, from Islamic studies and social sciences to science and medicine. Alhamdulillah, the university holds an Excellent institutional accreditation, while around 70 percent of our study programs have also received Excellent accreditation, with many recognized by international accreditation bodies,” he said.
Representing Madrasah Aliyah Sayang Ibu Lombok, teacher Bagus Bastari, S.Li., expressed his hope that the visit would inspire students to pursue higher education with greater confidence and determination.
“We hope this visit encourages our eleventh-grade students to become more confident, more courageous, and better prepared to compete with students from Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and other regions in gaining admission to the universities they aspire to attend,” he remarked.
One of the participants, Dhani Zaisovani, shared his positive impression of the campus visit, saying that the experience had broadened his understanding of university life.
“It was a really enjoyable experience. The campus atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the presentations about the study programs were very clear and informative. After this visit, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has become my top choice for pursuing higher education,” he said.
