UIN Jakarta Welcomes Students from Al-Madani Islamic Boarding School, Lubuklinggau
Rectorate Building, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta warmly welcomed a delegation of students from Al-Madani Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren Al-Madani) in Lubuklinggau, South Sumatra, during an educational visit held at the University Rectorate Building on Thursday (23/4/2026). The visit brought together 18 students accompanied by their teachers with the aim of introducing them to UIN Jakarta's flagship programs and academic offerings.
The event was attended by representatives of the Center for Information and Public Relations (PIH) of UIN Jakarta, including Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., Head of PIH; Taufan Maulana Firdaus, S.Pd.; Farah Nurul Hikam Agustina, S.Sos.I.; and Yuyun Yuliana. Also accompanying the delegation were UIN Jakarta Student Ambassadors Rafidah Azzahrah and Salvia Nesya Syakira.
In his welcoming remarks, Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., Head of PIH, emphasized that UIN Jakarta is an "Excellent" (Unggul) accredited State Islamic University whose academic quality is comparable to leading universities across Indonesia. He highlighted the university's comprehensive Faculty of Medicine, complete with its own teaching hospital and specialist medical programs, as well as its strong academic profile, including 150 professors and 56 internationally oriented study programs.
"Alhamdulillah, UIN Jakarta has an outstanding teaching hospital that supports our medical education, including specialist training. We also have a large number of study programs with Excellent accreditation, and our university is home to 150 professors," he said.
The head of Al-Madani Islamic Boarding School, K. Moh Arpan Haj, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to visit UIN Jakarta. He hoped the experience would leave a lasting impression on the students and provide them with a closer understanding of university life.
"We are delighted to be here. Hopefully, this visit will become a memorable experience for our students and bring them closer to the world of higher education," he remarked.
One of the participating students, Cinta Rohista, shared her enthusiasm after visiting the campus. She said the presentation about UIN Jakarta's academic programs inspired her to consider pursuing her higher education at the university, particularly in the Faculty of Education (Tarbiyah). She was especially impressed by the university's commitment to sustainability through its green campus initiative.
"I am very happy to have visited UIN Jakarta. The presentations about the faculties and how the university operates were very informative. I am interested in studying at the Faculty of Education. I was also impressed by the electric buses and electric bicycles available on campus as part of its Green Campus program," she said.
