UIN Jakarta Welcomes Prospective Students from Central Java to Explore Higher Education Opportunities

Jakarta, UIN News Online — UIN Jakarta welcomed 200 students and 20 teachers from MA Assalafiyah Luwungragi, Brebes, Central Java, as part of an educational outreach program designed to introduce prospective students to university life, academic programs, admissions pathways, and scholarship opportunities.

Held at the University's Student Center on 15 January 2026, the visit reflects UIN Jakarta's ongoing commitment to expanding access to higher education and encouraging talented students from across Indonesia to pursue their academic aspirations.

The delegation was welcomed by Muhammad Furqon, Head of Student Affairs and Alumni, together with representatives from the University's Information and Public Relations Center and UIN Jakarta Student Ambassadors.

In his opening remarks, Furqon emphasized the University's commitment to providing broader educational opportunities for students from diverse regions of Indonesia. He noted that UIN Jakarta plans to admit approximately 12,000 new students for the 2026 academic year and highlighted the University's affordable tuition scheme and wide range of scholarship programs.

"We want students to know that financial constraints should never discourage them from pursuing higher education. Through affordable tuition and various scholarship opportunities, UIN Jakarta is committed to making quality education accessible to all," he said.

Headmaster Muammar Cholil expressed his appreciation for the University's warm reception, describing the visit as an important opportunity to inspire students to continue their education at one of Indonesia's leading public Islamic universities.

"Many of our students come from rural communities, but they have great aspirations for higher education. We hope this visit encourages them to pursue those dreams with confidence," he said.

The main information session introduced students to UIN Jakarta's diverse academic offerings—including Islamic studies, science, medicine, engineering, and the social sciences—while providing practical guidance on Indonesia's various university admission pathways and available financial aid.

University representatives also encouraged students to explore programs that align with their interests and career goals, emphasizing that careful preparation and an understanding of different admission routes can significantly improve their chances of university admission.

The visit concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, an exchange of commemorative gifts between the two institutions, and a guided campus tour, allowing participants to experience UIN Jakarta's academic facilities, learning environment, and student life firsthand.

Through initiatives such as this, UIN Jakarta continues to strengthen its engagement with schools across the country while supporting equitable access to higher education for future generations.
