UIN Jakarta Welcomes High School Students for Campus Exploration and Higher Education Outreach

Jakarta, UIN News Online — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomed 147 students from MA Plus Nururrohmah, Al-Kamal Islamic Boarding School, Kebumen, for an educational campus visit designed to introduce prospective students to opportunities in higher education and academic life at one of Indonesia's leading Islamic universities.

Held at the University's Diorama Hall on Wednesday (7 January), the program provided tenth- and eleventh-grade students with an overview of UIN Jakarta's academic offerings, admissions pathways, scholarship opportunities, and campus facilities.

Representatives from UIN Jakarta's Center for Information and Public Relations (PIH) introduced the University's history, academic profile, and its commitment to integrating Islamic values with excellence across a broad range of disciplines.

During the session, participants learned that UIN Jakarta offers 93 academic programs across 13 faculties and a graduate school, spanning not only Islamic studies but also medicine, computer science, information systems, business, economics, journalism, and many other fields.

"At UIN Jakarta, students can pursue careers as physicians, software developers, entrepreneurs, journalists, and professionals in many other fields while receiving an education grounded in Islamic values," the presenters explained.

Welcoming the visit, Nurul Fitriyah, M.Pd.I., Principal of MA Plus Nururrohmah, expressed appreciation for the opportunity and hoped the program would broaden students' understanding of higher education.

"We hope this visit gives our students a clearer picture of university life, inspires them to pursue higher education, and helps them make informed decisions about their future academic paths," she said.

The outreach session also highlighted UIN Jakarta's nationally accredited academic programs, strategic location in Ciputat, affordable tuition system, and a wide range of scholarship opportunities, including government-funded and institutional scholarships.

Students were introduced to the University's multiple admission pathways, including merit-based, national entrance examinations, and independent admissions, giving them a comprehensive overview of the options available for prospective applicants.

Through initiatives such as this, UIN Jakarta continues to strengthen its engagement with schools across Indonesia, encouraging more young people to pursue quality higher education while preparing them for future academic and professional success.
