UIN Jakarta Visits Madrasas and Islamic Boarding Schools in Jakarta
Jakarta, UIN News Online – In order to socialize the SPAN UM-PTKIN admission type, UIN Jakarta visited a number of madrasah aliyah and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in DKI Jakarta.
The socialization was held for four days on September 6-9, 2022. The madrasas and Islamic boarding schools visited were MAN 4 Pondok Pinang (South Jakarta), MAN 11 Lebak Bulus (South Jakarta), MAN 7 Jagakarsa (South Jakarta), MAN 13 Lenteng Agung (South Jakarta), MAN 12 Duri Kosambi (West Jakarta), MAN 10 Grogol (West Jakarta), MAN 21 Rorotan (North Jakarta), MA Al-Khairiyah (North Jakarta), MAN 19 Petukangan (South Jakarta), MA An- Najah (South Jakarta), MAN 9 Duren Sawit (East Jakarta), and MAN 18 Duren Sawit (East Jakarta).
Sub-division head of Publication and Documentary UIN Jakarta Muhammad Furqon on Tuesday (09/06/2022) said this socialization program was aimed to provide detailed information about SPAN-UM PTKIN admission type. “With such information, we expect the students to prepare themselves if they want to continue their study in UIN Jakarta,” he said.
On the first day of the activity, the socialization was carried out in four madrasah, namely MAN 7, MAN 13, MAN 4, and MAN 11. Then the second day at MAN 12, MAN 10, MAN 21, and MA Al-Khairiyah. The third day at MAN 19 and MA An-Najah and the fourth day at MAN 9 and MAN 18.
SPAN-UM PTKIN is an admission type carried out by all State Islamic Higher Institutions (PTKIN) under the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs and followed by 58 PTKIN plus the Faculty of Religion, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang, West Java.
SPAN-PTKIN is an admission type based on student report cards at madrasas/schools supported by non-academic achievements. Meanwhile, UM-PTKIN is an admission type based on a written exam supported by students' non-academic achievements.
More specifically, SPAN-UM PTKIN only offers religious study programs including study programs in education categories, such as English Language Education, Social Science Education, Biology Education, Physics Education, and Education Management. (ns/usa)
