UIN Jakarta-UTHM Agreed to Cooperate on Academic Cooperation

CIC, UIN News Online – Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) offers academic cooperation to UIN Jakarta. The cooperation offering is delivered directly by UTHM representative Prof Madya Dr Berhannudin Mohd Salleh, Tuesday, (3/14).

His visit was welcomed by the head of Institute for Research and Community Outreach (LP2M) UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Arskal Salim GP MA, accompanied by the head of Center for International Cooperation (PLKI) UIN Jakarta Rachmat Baihaky MA in CIC office.

In his presentation, Berhannudin hoped this cooperation offer can be accepted by UIN Jakarta, “On this occasion, we would like to cooperate with UIN Jakarta in order to enrich the academic culture in both Institutions,” said Berhannudin.

In response, Arskal stated that UIN Jakarta is ready to cooperate with UIN Jakarta, “As the initial step, we can start with student mobility program and non-academic staff exchange,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Head of Center for International Cooperation (PLKI) Rachmat Baihaky MA said that UIN Jakarta will follow up the cooperation offer. “We will soon make the MoU which will be signed by both parties,” explained Baihaky.

For information, UTHM is a public university in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. It was formerly known as Institut Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (ITTHO) and Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (KUiTTHO). Along with other public university colleges, KUiTTHO was promoted to full university status since year 2007. (usa)
