UIN Jakarta, UIN Semarang, and UHN Bali Holds Community Service Program in Bali

Tabanan, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta, UIN Semarang, and State Hindu University (UHN) Bali are collaborating in carrying out a Community Service (KKN) program in Bali. The opening of Religious Moderation Community Service Program (KKN Moderasi Beragama) was held at the Tabanan Regency Arts Building, Bali on Monday (06/27/2022).

Chairman of the LPPM UHN Bali, I Made Sugata, said that this year's KKN is aimed to strengthen religious moderation. KKN is a manifestation of the implementation of the mandate of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, namely religious meditation.

Rector of UHN Bali, I Gusti Ngurah Sudiana, said that the opening of KKN could run smoothly with the help of the Tabanan Regent. “He is an alumnus of UHN Denpasar Bali,” he said.

Furthermore, IGN Sudiana also said that this Religious Moderation Community Service Program was the first program organized by UHN Bali. “With this collaboration, students are expected to complement each other for the development of Republic Indonesia,” he said.

Separately, Coordinator of the Center for Community (PPM) of UIN Jakarta, Deden Mauli Darajat, revealed that KKN in Bali is part of the implementation of religious moderation.

“Before carrying out KKN program, students must learn about the culture and religion embraced by the Balinese people,” said Deden.

He also added that there were 10 students of UIN Jakarta who successfully passed the selection process. “They come from different study programs and faculties at UIN Jakarta,” he added.

The 10 students who passed the selection came from five study programs. Among them, M. Farhan Nauval, M. Amrun Hadi, and Mumtazul Kamilah from the Al-Quran and Tafsir Study Program, Faculty of Usuluddin.

Next, Siti Nur Heliza and Hanifah Maulidina from the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program, Nuryuda Tama from English Education Study Program Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Sciences.

Then, Muhammad Fawwas Hilmy and Aulia Rahmi Sofiyatin from the International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The other two, Farhan Taufiqurahman from the Constitutional Law Study Program, Faculty of Sharia and Law, and Sahla Amali Syuaib from the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business.
