UIN Jakarta-UIN Bengkulu are Agree to Collaborate

Diorama Room, UIN News Online – In order to strengthen the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridarma PT), UIN Jakarta and UIN Bengkulu signed an collaboration agreement on Tuesday, (03/29/2022) held at Diorama Room, campus I of UIN Jakarta.

The signing ceremomony was carried out symbolically, represented by each party. Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis was represented by Coordinator of Cooperation Division Rahmat, while Rector of UIN Bengkulu Zulkarnain Dali was represented by Vice Rector for Student Affairs Fatimah Yunus.

This is the first collaboration between UIN Jakarta and UIN Bengkulu since UIN Bengkulu transformed from IAIN to UIN. The collaboration covers three fields, namely education and teaching, research, and community service.

There are at least five important things that were agreed upon in the implementation of the Tridarma PT. First, improving the quality of education, learning, and education staff; second, improving the quality of research and community service; third, improving the quality of academic administration services; fourth, exchange of lecturers and students; and fifth, the implementation of the Merdeka Learning program and the Merdeka Campus.

Vice Rector for Student Affairs Fatimah Yunus said, UIN Bengkulu was very grateful to be able to collaborate with UIN Jakarta. The cooperation is expected to provide benefits to both parties.

UIN Bengkulu, according to Fatimah is a state Islamic religious university (PTKIN) which has just transformed into a UIN from IAIN. “Therefore, we want to learn a lot from UIN Jakarta,” she said.

The transformation of UIN Fatmawati-Soekarno Bengkulu into a university is set on May 11, 2021 through Presidential Regulation No. 45 Year 2021. The university has four faculties and 12 study programs plus postgraduate programs. (ns/usa)
