UIN Jakarta – the Embassy of UAE holds webinar
Ciputat, UIN News Online – Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Jakarta, in collaboration with UIN Jakarta holds webinar on the prospects of renewable energy on Thursday (11/19/2020).
Present in the event, the UAE Ambassador for Indonesia H.E Abdulla Salem Obaid and Senior Analyst, Development and Investment of Masdar Mubadala, UAE Fatima Al Madhloum Al Suwaid as speakers. Also present in the event, the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis and Dean of FST UIN Jakarta Lily Surraya Eka Putri.
Rector Amany Lubis in her remarks expressed her gratitude to the UAE Ambassador Abdulla Salem AlDhaheri and Fatima Al Madhloum, who were willing to share their knowledge and experiences to the academic community of UIN Jakarta.
“Hopefully the UAE experience in managing renewable energy can also be applied at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta,” said Rector.
Meanwhile, to the UAE Ambassador Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri in his presentation reveal the UAE experience in various fields, including science and technology. The former Director of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) also said that the cooperation between the UAE government and various countries including Indonesia in the fields of science and technology are continued to increase.
Moreover, Fatima Al Madhloum presented the technology developed by the Masdar Mubadala Company which has contributed greatly in making the UAE a more developed country. She also revealed that the technology is also being implemented in the Cirata Floating Solar Project in West Java.
“Cirata Floating Solar Project is the largest and most sophisticated floating solar power plant in Southeast Asia,” said Fatima.
On this occasion, the Rector and Ambassador also intend to explore collaborative opportunities by planning a MoU as an initial step for cooperation between UIN Syarif Hidayatullah and Masdar Mubadala UAE. (usa)
