UIN Jakarta Swears In 70 New Pharmacists with High Academic Honors and Exceptional Graduation Rates

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta hosted its 16th Pharmacist Oath Ceremony on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, officially welcoming 70 newly qualified pharmacists into the healthcare profession.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, Ph.D., and the Dean of FIKES, Prof. Dr. Zilhadia. They were joined by the Head of the Pharmacist Professional Program, Puteri Amelia, Ph.D., FIKES Vice Deans, and executive partners from various pharmacy internship sectors, including hospitals, industrial plants, community health centers, pharmacies, pharmaceutical distributors, and the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM). Representatives from the Banten Provincial Chapter of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI), Pharmacist Diana and Pharmacist Dian Ramadini Agus Putri, were also in attendance.

The event officially opened with remarks from Dean Zilhadia, followed by an academic report delivered by the Head of the Pharmacist Professional Program, Puteri Amelia, Ph.D. The atmosphere was filled with pride as the new pharmacists received their Oath Certificates, Competency Certificates, and Professional Pharmacist Degrees, finalized by a ceremonial pinning of medals.

In his keynote address, Prof. Ali Munhanif expressed deep pride in the graduates' accomplishments. He noted that this cohort's performance was extraordinary, surpassing the institutional benchmarks originally envisioned by the founders of FIKES.

"I sincerely say to all of you who took the oath today, I am proud of you. Your collective achievements exceed what the founders of this faculty dreamed of, with a class average GPA above 3.8 and nearly 70% of graduates earning cum laude honors. Congratulations to you all, and let us give a round of applause for the faculty leadership," he stated.

Echoing this praise, Prof. Dr. Zilhadia commended the resilience of the 70 young pharmacists in navigating a highly competitive curriculum. Over the course of a rigorous year, the students demonstrated mental fortitude, completing intensive testing cycles without succumbing to academic pressure. This milestone marks the emergence of a new generation of healthcare professionals who are both intellectually elite and exceptionally driven.

"Your sons and daughters are remarkable individuals. Without serious struggle and resilience, they would not have reached this stage today. As we saw in the video documentation of their examinations, entering this program is difficult, and graduating is equally challenging. Their collective mantra to enter together and finish together was beautifully realized," she remarked to the parents in attendance.

As a token of appreciation, six outstanding students received academic excellence awards for achieving exceptional cumulative GPAs of 3.99, as well as scoring the highest marks nationwide in the National Pharmacist Computer-Based Test (CBT-UKOMNAS) and the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). The award recipients were:
