UIN Jakarta Students Participate in the Asean Future Leader Summit 2018
FITK, UIN News Online - Mega Zulaila Dinni, student of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI), Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Sciences (FITK) UIN Jakarta has the opportunity to participate in the Asean Future Leader Summit program in Malaysia and Thailand on 22 July-3 August 2018.
This was stated by Mega to UIN News Online, Monday (08/13/2018) at the Academic and Student Affairs Section 2nd floor of FITK building. She explained that the event was held in order to succeed in the educational program in the form of a 14-day student exchange program followed by all universities in ASEAN.
Mega was chosen along with 13 other delegations from several universities in Indonesia, including Gajah Mada University, Pajajaran University Bandung, Andalas University, and several other universities, both public and private.
During the student exchange program, the third semester student revealed that she had the opportunity to introduce Indonesia and UIN Jakarta to other delegations.
"They are interested in Indonesian products, especially batik and plan to visit Indonesia and UIN Jakarta," Mega said.
The program itself, continued Mega, is a collaboration program from the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia, North University of Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Scinces Malaysia (USM), Prince of Songkla University (PSU) and Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT).
"We visit all the campuses to learn about culture and tourism in various countries," she added.
According to her, this program is very useful for students, universities, communities, especially the Ayo Mengajar Movement community at FITK.
"For students, this program can strengthen the spirit of leadership, expand insight and knowledge, so that it can be a good achievement for universities that bring a conducive climate for the academic atmosphere among students," she said.
Mega hopes that this participation in the Afles 2018 program will get provision for positive contributions to the community and its surroundings, so that she can continue to inspire young people and the community. (usa)
