UIN Jakarta Students Learn to be TV Anchor
STC, UIN NEWS Online- Dozens of UIN Jakarta students learn directly to become an anchor television from Metro TV news anchor, Sara Wayne, in Metro TV activities sharing of cooperation between Student Affairs Department of UIN Jakarta and Metro TV at Student Activity Center Building (PKM) Thursday (04/12/2018). In an event titled 'How to Be Good News Anchor', Sara shared her knowledge and experience as an anchor of a private TV station that stood since 2000.
In her presentation, Sara said, the desire to become an anchor television is open to any graduate program. It's just that they have to go through selection and ability to keep learning and sharpening themselves. The reason, an anchor must be ready to conduct interviews at any time with speakers from various backgrounds.
"Especially in the global era, an anchor should be ready to interview different resource persons. Language skills are an important prerequisite," she said.
Additionally, an anchor should always be ready to be deployed to cover the field, keep improving the insight, able to manage and sort the information that is feasible, appear confident, and always open to communicate and get along. "Always ready, committed, humble, and not dependent on one source of information is also a must for an anchor," she explained.
Separately, Sub-Head of Talent and Student Development, Raden Trisno Muh. Riyadhi, S.Kom., M.M explained, Metro TV Sharing activities this time deliberately done to introduce the world of profession for students UIN Jakarta.
