UIN Jakarta Student Affairs Tracer Study: Preparing Graduates for the Workforce Both Domestically and Internationally
Diorama Room, UIN News Online — Student and Alumni Affairs of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a Tracer Study Seminar on preparation for entering the world of work both at home and abroad in Diorama Room, ground floor of Harun Nasution Auditorium on Thursday (24/10/2024).
With the theme “Preparation for Entering the World of Work at Home and Abroad for Prospective Alumni”, this activity was welcomed by students who were very enthusiastic about listening to the material presentation.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., welcomed the holding of this activity and hoped that it could have a significant impact on students as prospective alumni to be able to determine and prepare themselves for the world of work.
“This activity is certainly very useful for students as prospective alumni, especially at UIN Jakarta. I hope, students can prepare in advance to go to the next world of work,” he said.
Coordinator of Partnership Development and Labor Market Network of the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower, Sigit Ary Prasetyo, S.E., M.A.P., became the first speaker. In his presentation, Sigit explained the strategies and preparations that must be made by students before entering the world of work. He discussed the role of the government, especially the Ministry of Manpower, in facilitating prospective workers to be better prepared to compete at the global level.
Furthermore, the President Director of PT Sahabat Insan Perubahan, Karvin Fadila, S.H., M.M., gave a presentation on the importance of personal branding and communication skills in finding a job. Karvin also emphasized that university graduates must be able to adapt to technological changes and the dynamics of the evolving job market.
This seminar is part of a series of Tracer Study activities that aim not only to find out the absorption of UIN Jakarta alumni in the world of work, but also to provide practical guidance for students in preparing themselves carefully, both in job search and career development in the future.
By organizing this seminar, it is hoped that prospective UIN Jakarta alumni students can have a broader view and better preparedness in facing job competition, both on a national and international scale.
