UIN Jakarta Student Affairs Section Appreciates Scout Community Service Activities
Parung, UIN News Online – The Student Affairs Section of UIN Jakarta considered that the community service activities for the Scouts of UIN Jakarta were quite successful. Scouts are not only able to mobilize people to care about the environment, but also raise their spirit of service and care for the community.
This was said by the head of student affairs section of UIN Jakarta Ikhwan while monitoring the Community Development (Bimas) activities of the UIN Jakarta Scouts in Parung, Bogor, Friday (07/08/2022). During his visit, the Ikhwan was accompanied by the Head of the Sub-Division of Talent Development and Student Interest, Yulia Handayani.
Ikhwan said that the Scout mission of UIN Jakarta in the Bimas program was also considered very appropriate. This shows that Scouts really care about the community.
The visit of the Student Affairs Section to the Bimas location was to directly observe the activities of the Scouts who were serving in the village. Ikhwan admitted that he was amazed by the activities of the Scouts of UIN Jakarta.
“I saw a lot of Scouting activities at UIN Jakarta in this village that can be used as an example by local residents. For example, activities regarding waste management and the environment,” said Ikhwan.
For information, the activities they carry out are in the form of physical and non-physical services, including waste, planting clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), and cleaning the environment. In addition, there are also charity bazaars and donations for orphans as well as seminars on the role of parents in the lives and futures of children.
The activity was held for a week from July 4 to July 10, 2022 by deploying approximately 50 Scout members. (ns/usa)
