UIN Jakarta- South Tangerang City Government Held Regional Financial Report Training

Diorama room, UIN News Online— The Center for Community Service (PPM) UIN Jakarta and South Tangerang City Government held a Training on Accrual Based Regional Financial Reporting System at Tangsel City Government for 30 accountants and financial staff of Tangsel City Government. The training is scheduled to last for three weeks or the equivalent of 130 hours of lessons.

Training activities opened directly Rector Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada MA and South Tangerang City Mayor Airin Rachmy Diani SH, MH, M.Kn in the Diorama Room, Monday (20/11/2017). The training itself was informed by a number of local finance teachers and practitioners.

In her speech, Airin said, the reporting system training is expected to provide insight and knowledge about accrual basis financial reporting for accountants and financial staff of Tangsel City Government. "As part of government agencies, like UIN Jakarta, we are also required to make this accrual based reporting," Airin explained.

In view of this obligation, Airin also asks her staff to take the training seriously so that they can improve their capacity while carrying out their duties and functions in managing local government finance in Tangsel city. Moreover, he explained, the ability of effective and efficient government financial management is believed to be closely related to the Tangsel City Government's mission to build the welfare of the people.

"Capacity building is not only for the individual, but for everything. How this training is related to improving people's welfare. That is important," she explained.

On the same occasion, the Rector appreciated the Tangsel City Government which cooperated with UIN Jakarta to increase the capacity of its government staff. "Hopefully this training can improve the capacity of staff in fulfilling their duties and functions," he hoped. (usa)
