UIN Jakarta Signs MoU With Bank DKI
Diorama Room, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bank DKI in the field of Three Pillars of Higher Education development. The MoU signing was carried out by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis and the Director of Medium and Small Business Credit and Sharia Business of Bank DKI Babay Parid Wazdi in the Diorama Room, campus I of UIN Jakarta on Friday (05/27/2022).
Also present in the event, Vice Rector for General Administration Ahmad Rodoni, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Development Lily Surayya Eka Putri, AAKK Bureau Chief Jaenuddin and Head of Bank DKI Kebayoran Lama Branch Eva Nurhayati.
Rector Amany Lubis in her remarks welcomes the collaboration between UIN Jakarta and Bank DKI. Even though UIN Jakarta is not geographically located in the DKI Jakarta area, cooperation with Bank DKI can still be carried out.
“In addition, the collaboration between UIN Jakarta and Bank DKI will also be directed towards the Three Pillars of Higher Education, namely in the fields of education and teaching, research, and community service,” said Rector Amany.
In the field of education, UIN Jakarta currently has a Sharia Banking Study Program and a Sharia Economics Study Program. The two study programs are very strategic for improving the quality of education, especially in developing human resources in the fields of Sharia banking and Sharia economics.
In the field of research, UIN Jakarta and Bank DKI can work together in conducting various research regarding the development of Sharia banking and Sharia economics in the country.
Meanwhile, in the field of community service, Bank DKI through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program can hold more productive joint activities.
Director of Bank DKI Babay Parid Wazdi expressed his gratitude to UIN Jakarta for collaborating with Bank DKI. According to Babay, Bank DKI currently has an active role in education and food procurement programs. In the field of education, Bank DKI is the only bank in DKI that provides scholarships for students through KJMU plus.
“Currently, there are 16,000 students at 34 universities in Indonesia who have received KJMU plus,” he said.
In addition to the KJMU scholarship program, Bank DKI is currently holding an internship program for students. “Through this program, students are expected to have new experiences who will work in the banking sector,” said Babay. (ns/usa)
