UIN Jakarta sends 60 vaccination volunteers for 35,000 people in Tangerang Regency
Rectorate, UIN News Online – To assist the government in accelerating the vaccination program of one million per day, UIN Jakarta, in collaboration with the Tengerang District Health Office sent 60 vaccination volunteers to nine sub-districts in Tangerang Regency, Banten.
The release ceremony was carried out by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis in Tuesday (06/29/2021) morning. Present in the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Hari Hendarto, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) Zilhadia, and the AUK Bureau Chief Kastolan.
“Alhamdulillah, today we released 60 volunteers from UIN Jakarta. Volunteers will be sent to nine sub-districts in Tangerang Regency to assist the local government in the vaccination program. Hopefully this activity goes smoothly according to the plan,” said Rector Amany.
She also added that she greatly appreciated the volunteer team who participated in accelerating the vaccination program in Indonesia, especially in Tangerang Regency. This program is a noble task of humanity to fight the corona virus (Covid-19).
Therefore, UIN Jakarta through this participation program is expected to make a valuable contribution to the government, especially the Tangerang local government, which is targeting a program of 200,000 vaccines in all sub-districts.
“This is UIN Jakarta's commitment to play an active role in the program to break the chains of Covid-19 infection in Indonesia,” she added.
The UIN Jakarta volunteer team sent to Tangerang consisted of a joint team from FK, Fikes, Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital, and Community Health Service Clinic (KPKM). They will serve in nine sub-districts according to their respective duties and responsibilities. (usa/ns)
