UIN Jakarta Secures Approval for New Doctoral Program in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting

Jakarta, UIN Online News — The Rector and the academic community of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta proudly extend their congratulations on the official approval for the Doctoral Program in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (KPI), established under the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences.

Prior to this, UIN Jakarta offered three doctoral programs: Doctorate in Islamic Education (Faculty of Educational Sciences), Doctorate in Islamic Banking (Faculty of Economics and Business), and Doctorate in Islamic Studies (Graduate School).

This year, in addition to the KPI Doctoral Program, UIN Jakarta also inaugurated two other doctoral programs: Doctorate in Islamic Civilization History (Faculty of Adab and Humanities) and Doctorate in Sharia Sciences (Faculty of Sharia and Law).

The new program is officially authorized based on the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No. 882 of 2025, concerning the Establishment of the Doctoral Program in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

The Rector of UIN Jakarta expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, particularly to the Minister of Religious Affairs, for granting the approval.

“We sincerely thank the Minister for issuing the permit for this Doctoral Program in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting,” Asep Saipudin Jahar expressed.

He also conveyed his aspiration that this program would become a center of excellence in academic research and the development of Islamic communication sciences, contributing to the nation and civilization:

“May this program grow into a hub of academic excellence, research, and the advancement of Islamic communication scholarship, fostering national progress and global civilization,” he added.
