UIN Jakarta Scouts hold social service in Angreman Village

Bogor, UIN News Online – The Covid-19 pandemic did not stop students from doing activities. By prioritizing the spirit of creativity, UIN Jakarta Scouts held Community Development (Bimas) activities in Angreman Village, Rumpin District, Bogor, West Java, on June 21-27 2021.

The social, economic, educational, and cultural arts activities are packaged in various forms, such as counseling, bazaars, distribution of food packages, training, and competitions. In addition, the Bimas participants also distributed masks and hand sanitizers and educated the public to always prioritize clean and healthy living behavior. “This Bimas activity is held regularly every year for new members. The goal is to practice social awareness as well as the Ten Pillars of Scouting (Dasa Dharma Pramuka),” said the chairman of Racana Pramuka, Wahyu, on Thursday (07/01/2021). The Bimas activity, which was attended by 30 scout members, was carried out offline and online. Activities that are online in the form of insight-building materials, such as scouting and entrepreneurship. According to Wahyu, UIN Jakarta scouts have also carried out similar activities held in different places in the Greater Jakarta area. “The location changes every year depending on the needs and expectations of the community. Well, in Angreman Village, because the people asked, so we decided to return to serve in the Angreman Village,” said Wahyu. However, Wahyu hopes that next year it can be done in a different place so that the participants can have new experiences. “This is so that each generation can share experiences with each other,” he said.
