UIN Jakarta Report Destroyer of State Assets to Police

Academic Building, UIN NEWS Online – UIN Jakarta reported a group of citizens to the Ciputat Police for allegedly destroying state-owned assets (in this case the Ministry of Religious Affairs cq UIN Jakarta) in Pisangan, East Ciputat, South Tangerang, Banten. The report was conducted because based on investigations; destructive residents have fulfilled the element of criminal act.

When confirmed by UIN NEWS Online, Wednesday (05/23/2018), AUK Bureau Chief Rudi Subiyantoro confirmed that it has reported the destroyers of state-owned assets to Ciputat Police. "We have already reported because they (the destroyers, Red) is considered to have committed a criminal act, such as the destruction of the guardrail and the grasping of a plot of land located in the former housing office," he said.

According to Rudi, reports to the police were conducted twice. The first report was made on April 16, 2018 after it was discovered that a fence was damaged. While the second report was conducted on May 21, 2018.

Now, said Rudi, the legal process of the case is still handled by the police. He hopes that the perpetrators can be prosecuted according to the applicable law.

Rudi explained that UIN Jakarta in early April 2018 did fence over several fields of land that had been returned to the country in former lecturer change in Pisangan, East Ciputat. However, on April 15, 2018, the fence that was installed was then destroyed and the material was stolen by a group of citizens. On the basis of such crime, the UIN Jakarta then reports the incident to the authorities on April 16, 2018.

"The report is done considering the case is quite serious because it involves state assets," he said.

As is known, the Ministry of Religious Affairs cq UIN Jakarta since the 1960s has a land area of ​​96,250 square meters. On the land stood a number of official houses occupied by employees (then) Department of Religious Affairs and IAIN Jakarta. The number of houses occupied is recorded there are 171 households (KK) based on the License of Occupation (SIP) and the Decree of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The land of the official house is above the right of use certificate Number 2 Year 1988 on behalf of Ministry of Religious Affairs cq IAIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

According to the Head of Sub Division of Internal Affairs Abdul Halim, in the framework of controlling and securing the land assets in accordance with the provisions of legislation, UIN Jakarta then fences the area  after being evacuated and returned to the state.

"The land will be used for educational development and teaching facilities," he said.
