UIN Jakarta Diverts Parking, Electric Buses Start Operating
Rectorate Building, UIN News Online - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta began to relocate the parking of fossil fuel motorized vehicles from the parking area around the faculty and rectorate building in Campus I to the back parking lot, Monday (09/12/2024). To support mobility on campus, the Electric Bus (Bilis) also began operating to serve passengers who are mostly students.
The process of transferring vehicle parking was directly monitored by Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar M.A. Ph.D., Vice Rector for General Administration Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi M.A., and Head of General Administration and Personnel Bureau Abdullah Ahmad M.A. A number of leaders also directly monitored the process of transferring to the main parking lot starting at 07.30 WIB.
Monitoring UIN News Online, the bikers are immediately directed to park in the parking area that has been provided. Furthermore, to reach their respective faculties, they hop on Bilis which is ready to go from the entrance to the exit in turn.
A number of students participated in the first Bilis group. Jessica Danur was one of them. This fifth semester student of the Information Systems Study Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology rode Bilis to the front of her faculty lobby.
“Alhamdulillah. I'm happy to be able to ride Bilis to the faculty lobby. So I do not have to walk anymore. It's also quick to reach the faculty,” she said, who admitted that she came from early in the morning to hop on Bilis.
Yaya Fitria, a fifth semester student of FDIKOM's Da'wah Management Study Program, was also one of the students who was interested in trying to board on Bilis from the entrance to her faculty. "I'm really happy to be able to hop on Bilis to the faculty. So I'm more praised to study at UIN Jakarta,” she said.

Previously, said Yaya, the environment in front of the faculty was full of vehicle that is even parked on the shoulder of the road, making it sometimes difficult for students to do activities in the faculty area.
"But after being relocated, the park in front of the faculty became more relaxed. It's like we can breathe freely,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rector Asep Jahar revealed, the transfer of the motorcycle parking lot on campus thatI was carried out is to create a safe environment for the students themselves. To support that, UIN Jakarta itself provides Electric Bus vehicles that are always ready to operate to serve students.
“Insya Allah, we will continue to evaluate this transfer, so that parking services can really make students comfortable," he said.
Vice Rector Imam Subchi also advised that Bilis operational services prioritize students. “Bilis operational hours have started at 07.00 WIB because at 07.30 WIB the students enter the lecture,” he said.

The land with a capacity of 3500 motorcycles continues to be pursued by the improvement of its supporting facilities so that in early 2025 its use is more optimal.
Obey the Rules
