UIN Jakarta Rector Officially Inaugurates IKALUIN Board for 2025–2029 Term
Auditorium Harun Nasution, UIN Online News — The Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., officially inaugurated the Board of the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Alumni Association (IKALUIN) for the 2025–2029 period at the Harun Nasution Auditorium on Sunday (April 27, 2025). The inauguration marks the beginning of a new leadership expected to strengthen the synergy between alumni and their alma mater.
The event commenced with the reading of the Rector’s decree on the 2025–2029 IKALUIN board by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., followed by the formal inauguration ceremony led by the Rector.
In a ceremony attended by alumni and UIN Jakarta’s academic community, the Rector symbolically handed over the IKALUIN flag to the Chairman of IKALUIN, Dr. H. Tb. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., marking the official commencement of the new board’s term.
In his remarks, Rector Asep Jahar warmly welcomed the inauguration. He invited all alumni and the newly appointed board to work together in enhancing the reputation of UIN Jakarta alumni, so that they may be increasingly recognized both nationally and internationally in the professional world.
Additionally, the Rector emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration between alumni and UIN Jakarta. “This synergy is crucial not only for the university’s advancement but also for making a greater contribution to national development,” he concluded.
Following this, IKALUIN Central Board Chairman Dr. Ace Hasan expressed his hope that the spirit and enthusiasm of alumni would become a major force in supporting UIN Jakarta’s progress.
"Currently, IKALUIN’s management includes more than 900 alumni ready to contribute positively to UIN Jakarta and society," he stated.
Furthermore, he called upon all alumni to dedicate themselves to the nation’s development. "Through IKALUIN, let us realize UIN Jakarta’s great contribution to national development," he urged.
The event continued with a keynote address by Indonesia’s Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed., on the theme "National Address: The Direction of Indonesian Education Towards Golden Indonesia 2045."
In his address, he highlighted the critical role of education in shaping the nation's mindset and character.
"Education must lay a strong foundation for mindset development. The most important aspects of education are creativity, critical thinking skills, and the courage to continue advancing and benefiting society," concluded Prof. Abdul Mu’ti.
