UIN Jakarta Rector Highlights Prabowo-Gibran Administration's Strategic Programs in 117th National Awakening Day Commemoration Ceremony

UIN Jakarta Student Center Field, UIN Online News – The 117th National Awakening Day commemoration ceremony was held at the UIN Jakarta Student Center Field on Monday (20/5/2025). Prof. Dr. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., acting as the ceremony inspector, delivered a speech highlighting the strategic steps of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's administration during their first 150 days in office.

In his address, the Rector highlighted the government-initiated free nutritious meal program. “More than 3.5 million Indonesian children now enjoy access to nutritious food thanks to this initiative. This is a simple step but serves as an important foundation in shaping a healthy future generation,” said Prof. Asep.

The Rector also emphasized that the government starts development from fundamental aspects that directly touch the lives of the people. “We believe a great awakening is built from simple foundations, namely a peaceful life, a full stomach, and a contented heart,” said Prof. Asep.

Not stopping at the free nutritious meal program, Prof. Asep also highlighted the existence of free health check services that have benefited more than 770 thousand people across the country. This program is presented to ensure every citizen obtains easy and affordable health access without being constrained by financial capabilities.

“This free health check service is not just about treatment. It is about providing a sense of security and trust that the state is present to protect all its people,” added Prof. Asep.

In facing contemporary challenges, the government is also optimizing digital technology to expand and accelerate access to health services. The public can now conduct online doctor consultations, search for health information, and access health registration services directly through their mobile phones.

“With the utilization of this technology, health services become closer, faster, and more inclusive, reaching all levels of society down to remote areas,” said the Rector.

Closing his speech, Prof. Asep reminded of the importance of nurturing the spirit of national awakening that was initiated more than a century ago. He emphasized that improving public welfare and health is the main foundation for building a sustainable and sovereign nation.

The National Awakening Day commemoration ceremony proceeded solemnly and was attended by the rectorate leadership, the academic community, teaching staff, and various UIN Jakarta student organizations.
