BPK Tower Auditorium, UIN Online News – UIN Jakarta once again affirmed its strategic role in supporting professional government governance. This was evident as the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA, accompanied the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nasaruddin Umar, MA, in receiving the Compliance Audit Report on Revenue and Expenditure for Fiscal Years 2023–2024 from BPK RI Member V, Bobby Adityo Rizaldi, at the BPK Tower Auditorium on Friday (April 25, 2025).
During the occasion, Bobby Adityo Rizaldi personally handed over the audit report to the Minister of Religious Affairs. He appreciated the strong coordination and collaboration, not only with the Ministry of Religious Affairs but also with UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as an integral part of the public service system in education and healthcare.
The report focused on three main areas: the effectiveness of Hajj management, the Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship Program (BIB) for 2022–2024, and compliance in the management of UIN Jakarta's Hajj Hospital. Regarding the management of the Hajj Hospital, it further underscores UIN Jakarta’s expanding contribution beyond education into social and healthcare services for the community.
In his remarks, Minister Nasaruddin Umar emphasized the importance of BPK’s recommendations as essential inputs for improving future services. He also stressed that public services must continuously enhance their quality, transparency, and tangible impact on society.
Meanwhile, UIN Jakarta Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar reaffirmed that UIN Jakarta is fully committed to upholding the principles of good governance, in line with the university’s vision to become a World Class University rooted in Islamic values, scientific excellence, and humanitarianism.
"UIN Jakarta will continue to strengthen accountable and professional governance practices, not only in academic management but also in healthcare services and social outreach. This is part of our greater effort to create a university that is relevant, modern, and has a broad impact — not just for the Muslim community, but for humanity at large," said the Rector.
Furthermore, BPK requested that the follow-up to the audit recommendations be formulated and implemented within 60 days after receipt of the report. BPK emphasized that serious follow-up would significantly improve public services within the Ministry of Religious Affairs, particularly at the Hajj Hospital under UIN Jakarta’s management, making them better and more inclusive in the future.
This moment further highlights UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta's commitment to building professional, innovative, and public service-oriented institutional governance, while contributing not only in the fields of education and research but also in broader community service initiatives.
