UIN Jakarta receives visit from IAIN Kudus and IAIN Batusangkar
Diorama Room, UIN News Online – IAIN Kudus and IAIN Barusangkar conducts comparative study visit at UIN Jakarta on Thursday (12/02/2021).
The visit took place in the Diorama Room, campus I of UIN Jakarta. In addition to comparative studies, IAIN Kudus, represented by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Ihsan, signed a collaboration agreement with UIN Jakarta, represented by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Arif Subhan.
Also present in the event, AAKK Bureau Chief of UIN Jakarta Jaenuddin and the Head of International Office (PLKI) UIN Jakarta Dadi Darmadi.
Arief Subhan in his remarks thanked the two IAINs for choosing UIN Jakarta as the destination for comparative studies and collaborations.
“Hopefully the results of this meeting will bring good progress to each institution,” said Arief.
The head of international office of UIN Jakarta Dadi Darmadi said that UIN Jakarta is still carrying out the process of campus internationalization by collaborating with various international parties and opening international standard activity programs.
“UIN Jakarta has 69 active international collaborations from 32 countries,” said Dadi.
Furthermore, UIN Jakarta also continues to accept international students from various countries. Currently, there are around 300 international students studying at UIN Jakarta.
Dadi also added that UIN Jakarta is very selective in accepting foreign students. “UIN Jakarta is very selective, especially for the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences,” he added.
On the same occasion, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation of IAIN Kudus Ihsan explained that IAIN Kudus needs to continue to learn and have the courage to develop international cooperation.
IAIN Kudus currently has 11 international students from several countries in ASEAN. The facilities provided by the campus include a living cost per month and tuition fee exemption. “In addition, ma'had or dormitory facilities are also available,” said Ihsan.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Academic and Institutional Affairs of IAIN Batusangkar Ridwal Trisoni said, as a new religious university, IAIN Batusangkar still needs to learn from UIN Jakarta, especially regarding the new student admission system to tracer study.
According to Ridwal, currently IAIN Batusangkar has 13 international students. “In the future, i hope the number of international students can continue to increase, especially with the Indonesian language development program for international students,” said Ridwal. (usa/lsn/ns)
