UIN Jakarta ready to transform into PTN BH

Jakarta, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta stated its readiness to transform its status from Public Service Agency State University (PTN BLU) to State University with legal entity (PTN BH). This was said by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis when reporting the transformation plan to the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Fachrul Razi in his office, Friday (06/05/2020).

Accompanied by Deputy Rector for General Administration Ahmad Rodoni and Head of Internal Audit Unit (SPI) Abdul Hamid Cebba, the Rector submitted the recommendation results document directly to the minister of religious affairs.

“Insha Allah, UIN Jakarta will be ready to become PTN BH,” said Amany.

According to Amany, the transformation plan of UIN Jakarta to PTN BH has long been planned. The process has been going on since 2017 and received a recommendation from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

However, due to a change of leadership at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and at UIN Jakarta, the plan was delayed.

“If this plan goes smoothly, UIN Jakarta will be the first State Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIN) under auspices of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs with the PTN BH status,” said Amany.

The Rector hopes that this plan can be followed up immediately. That's because the plan has been delayed several times. Moreover, the opportunity to become a PTN BH has also been widely carried out by the state university under the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.

In response, Indonesian Religious Affairs Minister Fachrul Razi supports the UIN Jakarta’s plan to transform its status to PTN BH. This support will be provided if the status transfer document is complete and final.

In addition to reporting the status transformation preparations, Rector Amany Lubis also discussed many matters related to the development of UIN Jakarta in the future. Among them is the management development of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital after being handed over to UIN Jakarta on May 29, 2020.

They also discussed the transfer of lecturers to the International Islamic University of Indonesia (UIII), operational permits for S2 and S3 programs, and the budget for the study program accreditation process. (usa/ns)
