UIN Jakarta prepares for institutional reaccreditation process

Rectorate, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta is preparing to carry out the institutional reaccreditation process. Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis hopes for support from the entire academic community for the success of reaccreditation.

This was said by Rector Amany on Wednesday (02/02/2022) at Diorama Room, campus I of UIN Jakarta. According to Amany, one of the important agendas of UIN Jakarta this year is to prepare the accreditation process for UIN Jakarta.

“The agenda that needs to be considered this year is the accreditation of higher education institutions (AIPT),” said Rector Amany.

Referring to the accreditation data of the Higher Education Accreditation Board, UIN Jakarta's institutional accreditation will expire on February 27, 2023. Therefore, UIN Jakarta has one year to prepare the entire reaccreditation process.

UIN Jakarta itself now has an "A" institutional accreditation status since 2018. This accreditation is stated in the Decree of the Director of BAN PT 25/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/PT/II/2018.

To that end, Rector of UIN Jakarta has appointed a Preparatory Team for the Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions (AIPT) of UIN Jakarta, chaired by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Zulkifli and the Head of UIN Jakarta Quality Assurance Institute Muhammad Zuhdi as Deputy.

This team will work in various fields related to the criteria that must be met in the reaccreditation process. Among them are the areas of governance, and cooperation; student affairs; human Resources; infrastructure; education; study; and community service.

Separately, M Zuhdi said, in addition to preparing institutional accreditation, re-accreditation was also carried out in various study programs. The preparation was carried out due to the transfer of study program accreditation from BAN-PT to the Independent Accreditation Agency (LAM).

Study program accreditation through LAM itself is regulated through Kepmenristekbudristek Number 186 of 2021 concerning Study Programs Accredited by LAM. This is also regulated in BAN-PT Regulation Number 9 of 2020 concerning the Policy for Transferring Study Program Accreditation from BAN PT to LAM.

Zuhdi also added, in line with the need for academic quality assurance according to international standards, a number of UIN Jakarta study programs are also applying for international accreditation. Some of them are the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training and the Faculty of Economics and Business.

“Even the Ushuluddin Faculty is committed to increase its study program accreditation to international accreditation,” said Zuhdi. (zm/usa)
