JAKARTA, UIN Online News - The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta received an official visit from the Banten Province Educational Quality Assurance Agency (BPMP) on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. This audience marks the initial step toward a strategic partnership focused on library development and the strengthening of educational literacy.

The meeting, held in the FAH Main Conference Room, was attended by the Dean of FAH, Vice Deans, the Chair and Secretary of the Library Science Department, faculty members, and students. The interactive session generated constructive ideas to transform the BPMP library into an innovative, adaptive literacy hub tailored to modern societal needs.

In his welcoming remarks, the Dean of FAH, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, emphasized that all five study programs within the faculty have achieved premium national accreditation and international recognition. This track record, he noted, serves as a solid foundation for expanding strategic networks.

"FAH continuously expands its partnerships through various experiential programs, including the national Independent Learning curriculum, community service, and field internships. Community outreach and academic research remain our primary focuses," he said.

He added that this visit provides a strategic platform to exchange ideas and map out concrete collaborative opportunities for the future.

Representing BPMP Banten, Aria Ahmad Mangunwibowo expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome. He emphasized that BPMP plays a strategic role as a regional extension of the ministry tasked with upgrading educational quality.

In his presentation, he highlighted several key directions of national education policy. These include school revitalization, the acceleration of educational digitalization, the reinforcement of literacy, numeracy, and character development, as well as fostering meaningful and joyful learning environments.

During the discussion session, BPMP Banten proposed an initiative to revitalize its library through a step-by-step collaboration with FAH. This partnership is expected to drive the BPMP library to become an attractive, collaborative epicenter for literacy.

"We aim to build a progressive library through systematic collaboration, including leveraging the expertise and synergy available here at FAH," the delegation stated during the forum.

The Chair of the Library Science Department, Siti Maryam, added that the department consistently pushes for student competency upgrades through field immersion programs, including direct practice at various library institutions.

"This audience opens up valuable opportunities for our students to undertake professional internship programs at BPMP Banten," she concluded.
