UIN Jakarta Obtains Licensing for Master Program in Sociology and Political Science

Rectorate Building, UIN News Online - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta obtained permission to open a master's program for Sociology and Political Science Studies. The official announcement was obtained after a decree was issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbud Ristek) of the Republic of Indonesia on January 11, 2024.

UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta fulfills the minimum requirements for accreditation, as well as meeting the national standards of higher education in accordance with laws and regulations. Each licensing decision is announced separately.

The licensing decision for the opening of the Master of Political Science Study Program is listed in the issuance of the Decree of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of Indonesia number 45 / E / O / 2024 / concerning permission to open a Political Science Study Program at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta in the city of South Tangerang organized by the Ministry of Religion, this decision was made on January 10, 2024 in Jakarta.

While the licensing of the Master of Sociology Study Program, listed in the publication of the Decree of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology number 50 / E / O / 24 concerning permission to open a Sociology Study Program at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta in the city of South Tangerang organized by the Ministry of Religion, was set on January 11, 2024.

For the master's program in Sociology and Political Science itself, it will be the first master's program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Previously, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences did not have a master's program. In addition, at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta there are several faculties that have master's, doctoral, and professional programs, including the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Keguruan Sciences which has four master's programs in the study program, Master of Islamic Education, Master of Arabic Education, Master of English Education, Master of Islamic Education Management.

As for the doctoral program, the doctor of Islamic Education. Then for the most populous professional program, the Teacher Professional Program.

The Faculty of Adab and Humanities has a Master of Islamic History and Culture Study Program, and a Master of Arabic Language and Arabic Literature. Then at the Faculty of Ushuludin there are three master programs, among them, Master of the Science of the Koran and Tafsir, Master of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy, and Master of Religious Studies.

The Faculty of Sharia and Legal Sciences has two master programs, Master of Sharia Economic Law, and Master of Family Law (Ahwal Syakhshiyyah). Then at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences there are two master programs, Master of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting, and Master of Da'wah Management. The Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah also has a master's program with the Master of Dirasat Islamiyah study program (Concentration of Ushuluddin Science, Sharia Science, and Arabic Literature Language).

The Faculty of Psychology has a master's program in Psychology. The Faculty of Economics and Business has two master's programs, master of Sharia Banking, and master of Sharia Economics. In addition, there is a doctoral program, the doctoral study program in Sharia Banking. The Faculty of Science and Technology has one master program, master of Agribusiness.

Meanwhile, the Faculty of Health Sciences has professional programs, namely the Nursing Profession and the Pharmacist Profession. Then for the Faculty of Medicine, there is a professional program for doctor education. (Linda Yuliani)
