UIN Jakarta Named Indonesia's Leading State Islamic University in National Research Index

Jakarta, UIN News Online — UIN Jakarta has been ranked the highest-performing State Islamic University in Indonesia according to the latest Science and Technology Index (SINTA), reaffirming its position as a national leader in research productivity and scholarly publications.

The final SINTA rankings for 2025, released on 31 December 2025, place UIN Jakarta at the top of the State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) cluster with a three-year SINTA Score of 433,478 and an overall SINTA Score of 798,422. The University's performance reflects the contributions of 1,316 researchers and academics representing 93 faculties, departments, and study programs.

"This achievement is a testament to the collective commitment of our academic community to advancing research and scholarly excellence," said Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

"As we conclude 2025 and begin a new year, we are grateful to see UIN Jakarta recognized as the highest-ranked State Islamic University in the national SINTA index. This accomplishment belongs to every member of our University."

The latest ranking places UIN Jakarta ahead of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, and UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, further strengthening its reputation as one of Indonesia's leading research universities.

SINTA, Indonesia's national research information system, evaluates institutional research performance based on a wide range of scholarly outputs, including peer-reviewed journal publications, conference proceedings, books, patents, intellectual property, and internationally indexed publications such as those listed in Scopus.

According to Prof. Asep, the University's achievement reflects years of sustained investment in research development and a strong culture of academic collaboration.

"We extend our sincere appreciation to all faculty members, researchers, students, and professional staff whose dedication has made this achievement possible. We hope this recognition will encourage even greater research productivity and innovation in the years ahead."

Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M), Prof. Amelia Fauzia, M.A., Ph.D., also credited the University's success to the unwavering commitment of its researchers and academic staff.

"This recognition is the result of collaboration, perseverance, and a shared commitment to producing impactful research. LP2M will continue strengthening UIN Jakarta's research ecosystem to support even higher standards of academic excellence," she said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Saepudin Asrori, M.A., Head of the UIN Jakarta Journal Center, expressed his appreciation to the University's leadership and academic community for their continued support.

"We hope this milestone will inspire even more high-quality research and internationally recognized publications from UIN Jakarta," he said.
