Purwokerto, UIN Online News — The Moot Court Community (MCC) team of the Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta achieved a remarkable national accomplishment after securing first place at the 2025 National Criminal Law Week (PPN) debate competition.

UIN Jakarta’s FSH team was awarded first place after surpassing teams from Universitas Indonesia and Universitas Gadjah Mada in the final round and overall scoring, while the University of Indonesia secured second place, followed by Gadjah Mada University in third place.

The event was hosted by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto, on Monday (17/11/2025). The competition is recognized as a prestigious national legal debate event, challenging participants on contemporary criminal law issues, precision in juridical analysis, and strategic presentation of arguments.

The MCC team from FSH UIN Jakarta consists of Hana Mumtaz, Nabilah Ishmah, and M. Rafi Anandia, all third-semester law students. They excel in legal reasoning, case analysis, and rhetorical delivery, while outperforming participants from some of Indonesia's leading universities.

Such an achievement is warmly welcomed by the UIN Jakarta academic community, faculty members, and the Dean of FSH, who praised the students’ success as evidence of the faculty’s academic development efforts and the students’ dedication to advancing their legal competencies.

“This achievement reflects the quality of academic coaching within our faculty, and it highlights the strong commitment of our students to developing their expertise in the field of law, particularly criminal law,” Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum remarked.

This victory is expected to inspire more FSH UIN Jakarta students to participate confidently in national and international legal competitions, while further strengthening the MCC’s role as a platform for developing litigation skills and legal debate within the university.
