UIN Jakarta-Media Group Network Signs an MoU in the Field of Journalism

Diorama Room, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta and Media Group Network (MGN) agree to collaborate in the field of Journalism. The MoU signing ceremony was carried out by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis and President Director of Media Group Network Firdaus Hidayat on Wednesday, (07/13/2022).

According to Amany, UIN Jakarta students are expected to increase their knowledge by collaborating with MGN. She also hopes hopes that UIN Jakarta can play a role in the field of mass media.

Students of UIN Jakarta, said Amany, are very interested in the world of writing. Therefore, UIN Jakarta always provides facilities for this specialization. For example, during the UIN Jakarta Anniversary, such as competitions to write scientific works and poetry.

“I see the students seem very enthusiastic. This can be seen from the many works submitted to the committee,” said Rector Amany.

On the same occasion, President Director of MGN Firdaus Hidayat warmly welcomed this collaboration. He considered that the mass media had a important role as social control or providing input to the government. In addition, the mass media also plays a role as the fourth pillar of democracy after the legislative, executive, and judicial institutions.

MGN, said Firdaus, always provides journalistic training to various groups, especially students. “I hope this collaboration can make a big contribution to society,” he said. (ns/usa)
