UIN Jakarta Library Wins 1st Place in Academic Library Innovation Award (ALIA)

UIN Jakarta, UIN Online News — The UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library won first place in the Academic Library Innovation Award (ALIA) held by the Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum (FPPTI) DKI Jakarta on Wednesday, (August 20, 2025).

The first-place winner of the Indonesian Academic Librarian Award (IALA) and Academic Library Innovation Award (ALIA) will represent FPPTI DKI Jakarta in the national competition, which will soon be held on October.

FPPTI DKI Jakarta also invited librarians who participated in this event to attend the award ceremony and certificates of participation, as a token of appreciation for their efforts in developing library science and enhancing the professional skills of librarians.

Agus Rifai S.Ag., SS, M.Ag., Ph.D. stated that the UIN Jakarta Library Team is highly dedicated to the community which is in charge of the library's mission, facilitating users' utilization of available information resources for academic pursuits.

"Like an exhibition space and academic gallery, every library must display an inspiring scientific works, research, and artwork, reflecting academic achievement snf showcading the creativity of each individual within the academic environment," The Head of the UIN Jakarta Library explained.

The UIN Jakarta Library provides various services, including membership activation, free online library access, collection loans, librarian consultations, a scientific service point, literature requests, and QnA service.

Furthermore, facilities such as discussion rooms, meeting rooms, free Wi-Fi access, a prayer room, and storage lockers are also available for visitors' convenience.

With a diverse collection of printed and digital resources, and supportive effort in the development of academic skills, UIN Jakarta library successfully delivers effective knowledge transmission for the entire academic community.

This achievement certainly encourages UIN Jakarta to become an informative, innovative, and highly creative university with a global reputation for championing excellence in the integration of Islamic studies, Indonesian studies, and science.
