UIN Jakarta Lecturers Attend Scientific Forums in the United States

FDIK, UIN News Online – Bintan Humeira, lecturer of the Journalism Study Program, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Science (FDIK) UIN Jakarta participated in the Study of the U.S. program. Institute (SUSI). This program aims to introduce American values and culture to universities around the world, as well as providing assistance in expanding the study of journalism, information technology and democracy curricula.

The activity lasted for approximately 1.5 months from June 5 to July 16, 2022. And this activity was fully funded by the United States Department of State and implemented by the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, Arizona State University, United States of America.

Bintan Humeira's involvement in the event was not only to improve her competence and professionalism as a lecturer, but also to be input for the development of journalism studies and media studies at the UIN Jakarta campus.

Moreover, This program offers outputs in the form of introduction and practice of various approaches, methods and contemporary issues regarding journalistic studies such as trusted news and media literacy; journalism, entrepreneurship and democracy; government and the press, the power of journalism pedagogy, media and technology, and others. Including providing assistance to strengthen the curriculum, learning strategies and methods of journalism, as well as the quality of graduates.

Separately, Dean of FDIK UIN Jakarta Suparto give the highest appreciation to the United States government for providing the opportunity for Bintan Humeira to participate in this activity.
